How to use data maps
Data mapping is the process of connecting a data field from one source to a data field in another source. Access to submitted form data is available several different ways. By mapping to a form, you can select which fields from a form you want to use submitted data.
Data maps can be processed using the following types:
- Azure Logic Apps/Microsoft Flow: Data passed through any of the apps and sources made available to you.
- Data Warehouse: Data passed into a SQL database created on the same server as your instance.
- File Drop: Exports form data to integrate with other applications.
- File Storage: Stores an attachment, image and field data.
- HTTP Request: Integrates submitted data with any other endpoint you define.
- IFS FSM: An XML map facilitates a connection to IFS FSM.
- IFS Apps 10: Integrates form data with IFS.
- IFS Cloud: Integrates form data with IFS.
- Stored Procedure: Form submissions execute stored procedures to integrate forms and other solutions.
If you have multiple maps set up for a form, the order in which they are displayed on the Data Maps tab of the Form Settings window is the order in which they are processed. You can use the handles on the left of each map to drag and drop the maps into a different order.

Multiple, different maps that run based on conditions in form answers can be set up. The data is then sent to the appropriate integration.
If you are using versions on the form, you can take the data map from one version of the form, copy it over to other form(s) and then when you edit the submission for those forms, it would use that data map.
The Data Maps Log is available in the Logs page. If you need to reprocess a map that has an error, you can do so from this page.
