How to use the Data Map Condition window
Conditional data maps allow you to run a data map based on the answer to an input on a form. For example, you have an inspection form with different types of meters that are inspected. When Gas is selected as the type, a data map is run.
- Open the form for which you want to create a conditional data map.
- Choose (Form Settings), then scroll to the right and click the Data Maps tab.
- This procedure assumes you already have the data map created. Click (Edit Condition) to open the Data Map Condition window.
- Click the + (Add Rule) button to add a rule to the data map.
- Select the field on which to build the condition (in this example, Type). As each option is selected, the statement is formed describing the condition. In this example, Type, is equal to, Value, and Gas were selected.
- Click Set Condition to save the condition. When Gas is selected as the type, the data map will run.
- To delete the conditional data map, click Remove Condition.
