Many new features have been added in release 2410.4. You can find more information about these features using the links provided. New features include:
OmniByte Logins to Customer Sites
To ensure security measures for you, we've added product support and consulting logins to the Add User and Edit User windows. This is helpful when OmniByte support or consulting needs a user to log into your site to troubleshoot or perform upgrades. Keep in mind that when setting up a product support or consultant user, access to this user and its password can be turned off or changed at any time. This user doesn't affect your total license count.
New Inputs
Two new inputs have been added in this release: Segment Buttons and Toggles:
- Segmented buttons are similar to radio buttons, in that you have multiple choices. However, unlike a radio button, segmented buttons can have colors, and you can select more than one option.
- Toggles, also known as on/off switches, are used when a single on/off, or true/false type of response is needed. You could use a single checkbox with a blank option, but using a toggle is a better option when a single checkbox is needed, such as for Yes/No questions.
Form Deployment Using Single Sign-On (SSO)
Forms can now be deployed using SSO. A deployment data connection that supports SSO to the other site, from which you want to deploy, needs to be set up before you can deploy forms.
Encrypted Client Secret
The Client Secret field on the Single Sign-On Settings tab of the Security Settings page and Connection window is now encrypted and masked to ensure security. Only the first and last four characters display. For example, a client secret of SgYBpYYGdhrwiSrBTqMypLwchRE1fh0j displays as SgYB*********fh0j.
Lookup, Radio and Select Inputs in Calculations
You can now build a calculation based off a number selected in a lookup, radio or selection list. The Edit Lookup, Edit Radio and Edit Select windows have an Enable for Calculated Fields checkbox that when marked, treats these options as numbers so they can be used in calculations. In the following Employee Evaluation form, radio options have the Enable for Calculated Fields option marked so the responses can be used to calculate an employee rating.
Date Span Input and Date Calculations
A Date Span field has been added in this release so that you can calculate the number of days between two dates.
Calculation Label in Summary Rows is Hidden
The Hide Calculation Label option has been added to the Edit Calculated Field window when a summary row exists in a dynamic table. This is helpful when you have a narrow column the label might wrap and since it's obvious it's a sum of the column, you just want to leave the label off of the row.
Map and Photo Metadata
The GPS coordinates and date/time are saved separately from images when the Capture GPS on Photo and/or Capture Date/Time on Photo options are marked on the Images tab of the Edit Media window. This enables this information to be used on reports and accessed for data maps and form actions.
Submitted by and Submitted on in Data Maps
Form submissions capture the user who submitted the form and the date of the submission. This information is now available to include in a data map and use as needed. How this information is added depends on the type of data map you are using. For example, if using a Data Warehouse data map type, you can mark these fields to be included in the Data Mapping window:
Cc Line in Email Setup
A Cc to line for optional email addresses has been added to each form's additional emails.
Editable Labels for Data Set Fields
When a data set is used on a Select, Radio, Lookup, or Segmented Button input the label defaults to the data set field's label, but you can edit it. This is helpful when a data set is used on several different fields and the label needs to be unique for each field.
View/Edit Submissions Advanced Filters
An Advanced Search option has been added to the View/Edit Submissions page so you can filter submission information further. Additional fields appear allowing you to filter your search by submitter, originator, version and origination dates. Click Find after entering the filter information.
Restrict Date Picker Toggles
The ability to restrict the date range has been added to the Date input. The date picker toggles limit the range of dates to pick from. To restrict dates in the past or future, turn on the appropriate toggle then enter the days before or after the date for the restriction.
Preview in Section and Showing Hidden Fields
A(Preview) has been added to sections so you can view how the section will appear on a form. Sections often contain data sets. This preview is helpful to ensure your data and/or calculations are accurate before adding it to a form.
A Show Hidden Fields toggle is available on the section preview and has been added to the form preview to display hidden fields when previewing a section or form.
Registration Key in Mobile App
To assist when troubleshooting environments, you can now see the registration key in the app. The key is displayed when logging into FormsPro and on the About FormsPro page.
Data Set Enhancements
In the Data Set Designer page, you can now view up to 25 rows of data. In addition, the Edit and Delete icons are always visible. You know longer have to hover the area for them to appear.
Public Form Enhancements
Public form tracking is available in this release.
