How to preview a form
Click (Preview) on the form designer's toolbar to open a Preview window with a display very similar to how the form will appear on a device. If your form contains hidden fields, you can toggle the Show Hidden Fields option on to display the fields that are hidden. This is helpful if you have fields that are populated from somewhere else, such as a data set. For example, you could "test" the hidden fields to ensure your section and its fields are working as expected.
Keep in mind if you are using data sets or form actions, data may run and get updated when using the Preview window. We recommend you use the Preview window in a test environment in these circumstances.
In the following illustration the JobID field is in a data set and is a hidden field but displays in the Preview window because this toggle is on.
You can change the preview type to show how the form will look on a tablet or a phone. You can also type or select entries to check calculated fields or to be sure you have the appropriate input type for each entry.
Click OK to close the Preview.
