How to set up a standard notification

Standard notifications are immediately sent, when the occasion arises, or on a recurring basis.

  1.  From the menu on the left, click App Settings, then Notifications.

  2. Click Add Notification to open the Notification Settings window.
  3. Enter a name for the notification. This information helps identify the notification in the Notification Log.
  4. Select Standard as the type of notification. 
  5. Schedule the notification:
    Select None to send the notification immediately.
    Select Recurring to send the notification on a recurring basis.
  6. Toggle the Send to all Techs/Techs meeting the conditions option on if you want all techs or those meeting the conditions to be sent the notification.
    When the toggle is off, select the divisions, skill levels or individual users to send the notification to.
  7. Enter a notification subject in the Title Text The title can be up to 64 characters.
  8. Enter the notification you want to send in the Notification Text The text can be up to 200 characters.
  9. Toggle the Request Response option on to request the recipients of the notification indicate it was received and are taking appropriate action. Enter appropriate response button text in the Response Text field(s).
  10. Click Send to send the notification. A record of the notification appears immediately in the Notification Log. Click Save to save the entry to the current browser session. This is helpful if you start a notification but leave the Notifications page to take care of something else. When you come back to the Notifications page the saved notification is on the page. Once the browser is closed, the information is cleared. Click Delete to delete the notification.
