Adding GPS Coordinates to a Form

How to add a GPS coordinate to a form

The GPS Coordinates input inserts a Get Coordinates button on the form that when clicked, finds the latitude and longitude for the app user. This information cannot be edited, but it can be deleted and recalculated. You can click  to determine whether the coordinates are correct. If the GPS coordinates are required, you won’t be able to submit a form without getting this information. FormsPro uses Google Maps as its web mapping progam.

  1. From the Input menu in the Form Designer, click GPS Coordinates.
  2. Click (Edit) to open the Edit Email window.
  3. On the Settings tab, mark Required to make the GPS coordinate a required field. Mark Used for Personal Data if the GPS Coordinates field is used for personal data which can be used to delete specific data from a form. By checking this option, when using the Data Deletion page, non-personal data is kept for analysis, while deleting the personal data. After marking this option, an icon appears next to the text alignment icon in the Admin site indicating this field is used for personal data:
  4. Enter a label for the GPS coordinate.
  5. In the Tooltip field, enter the tip/hint you may want to include for the GPS coordinate.
  6. Click the Styles tab to specify the style settings for the GPS coordinate. See Using the Styles Tab for more information.
  7. Click the Field Condition tab to create a condition for the GPS coordinate.
  8. Click OK to save your entries. Click Cancel to close the Edit GPS Coordinates window without saving changes.
  9. Click (Preview) to view how the GPS Coordinates input will look in the app. A Get Coordinates button is added to the form and when clicked the latitude and longitude readings appear on the form.
