How to add a form comment
The Comment field is used to make internal notes about an advanced form, or section, such as how it was designed, what might need updating in the future, and notes to future admins. We recommend that you add your name and date to each comment made.
When creating a comment, keep in mind:
- A comment can be entered on a form or section, one or many times.
- Comments are only available in the admin site. They are not visible in the app.
- Comments can be opened, edited and changed at any time.
- Comments apply to all form versions.
- Comments are tracked in change management.
- Comments are not displayed in Preview mode.
- Comments cannot be printed, but text can be copied.
- From the Formatting menu in the Form Designer, click Comment.
- A comment field is added to the form.
- Click (Edit) to open the Comment window.
- If you wish, enter a heading for the comment, then enter the comment.
- Click OK to save your entries. The comment entered displays in the form designer.
- Click Cancel to close the Comment window without saving changes.
- If you don't want to display the comments on the form toggle the Hide All option on under the Formatting menu. This is helpful when your comment boxes are large and you have a lot of detail. You may want to hide them as you work on your form.
