Using an App Password in FormsPro

An app password is a 16-digit passcode that gives a device permission to access your Google account. Two-step verification needs to be turned on for the Google account.

If you are using Gmail and changed your main account password, you will need to set up a new app password.

1. Log into your Gmail account.
   
2. You may need to select Manage your Google Account under your login. From the menu on the left side, click Security, then verify that 2-Step Verification is turned on.
3. In the Google Search box, enter App Passwords, then select App passwords from the list.
   
4. Enter FormsPro as the app for which you're creating an app password.
   
5. Click Create.
   
6. Copy the app password.
7. Log into FormsPro using your username and password.
8. Open the Email Configuration page (Configuration menu > Email).
9. Enter the copied app password in the Password field of the Email Configuration page.
   
10. Click Test to send a test email to ensure it is working correctly.
