      Using Can Grow on a Report

      How to use the Can Grow option on a report

      The Can Grow option in the Report Designer indicates that an element’s height can be automatically increased to display the entire content. Any other report elements below the control are moved down to prevent overlapping.

      If your data spans several lines use the Can Grow option with the Word Wrap option. This lets the field expand vertically to fit the text. If you know your text will only wrap onto one or two lines, you can set the row height instead of using the Can Grow option.

      To use the Can Grow option on a field, complete the following:

      1. Select the field you want to apply the option to.
      2. Open the Properties panel on the right-side of the Report Designer.
      3. Mark the Can Grow checkbox.
      4. Save your changes.
