How to preview a report format

Previewing an advanced report format allows you to see exactly how your report will look when it's generated—before it's finalized or shared. This helps ensure that all fields are correctly placed, styled, and displaying the expected data.

The Report Designer uses DevExpress tools to create reports. For detailed information about DevExpress, see DevExpress Documentation.

Complete the following to preview an advanced report format in the Report Designer:

1. From the upper-right corner of the Report Designer, click Preview. The Preview page will open blank with a Waiting for parameter values... message.
2. From the Submission field of the Preview Parameters panel, select a previously submitted form or Blank Answer, then click Submit.
3. The document is created displaying what your data will look like on your formatted report.
   Note: It may be helpful to change the zoom to 100% to see how checkboxes and other fields line up to get a more accurate picture of your report.
   
4. From the upper-right corner of the Report Designer, click Design to return to the Report Designer.
