How to customize the look of your advanced report

Making your report look polished and professional doesn’t just help with presentation—it can also make your data easier to read and understand. With just a few appearance settings, you can give your report a clean, consistent, and visually appealing layout.

Here’s how to apply appearance options to your advanced report:

  1. In the Report Designer, open the Properties panel, on the right-hand side of the screen. If it’s not visible, right-click anywhere in the report designer and select Properties.

  2. In the Properties panel, expand Appearance to view all the available styling options.

  3. Apply styling to your report elements by clicking on the element you want to customize. Then, use the Appearance settings to make your changes. You can choose background and foreground colors, adjust the font size, weight, and color, and modify the border’s color, thickness, and style. Each change you make will apply only to the selected element, allowing you to style your report with precision.

  4. If you want to match your brand colors or stick to a specific color palette, click the drop-down arrow to open the color selector and enter the RGB or HEX color numbers. This gives you full control over the color scheme of your report and ensures consistency with your organization’s branding.

  5. Once you're done styling, Click Preview to preview your report to see how it looks. A well-designed report not only looks more professional but also helps your audience focus on what matters—your data.
