How to add a paragraph to a form
Use the Paragraph element to insert a long-form text field on a form. Paragraphs can be useful for instructional text for a tech, a disclaimer, or any other text you want displayed on a form.
- From the Formatting menu in the Form Designer, click Paragraph.
- Click (Edit) to open the Edit Paragraph window.
- On the General tab, mark Hide Label to hide the paragraph's label on a form.
- Mark Hide Collapse if you want to prevent the paragraph from being collapsable.
- Enter a label for the paragraph. This label is used to “anchor” the expand/collapse button. The collapse button doesn't display for the paragraph when the Hide Collapse option is marked.
- Click the Styles tab to specify the style settings for the paragraph input. See Using the Styles Tab for more information.
- In the text box, enter the paragraph text and apply any applicable formatting using the tools above the text box.
- Click the HTML tab to view the paragraph text in Hypertext Markup Language format. This can be useful if you need to tweak something outside of the editor, or to easily copy/paste text.
- Click Preview to view the paragraph very similar to how it will appear on a device.
- Click OK to save your entries. Click Cancel to close the Edit Paragraph window without saving changes.
