Adding a Heading to a Form

How to add a heading to a form

Use the Heading element to create section headers within a form. In the mobile app, headings appear in the Table of Contents, allowing users to quickly jump to specific sections. They also enable collapsible sections, helping to organize and simplify the form layout.

  1. From the Formatting menu in the Form Designer, click Heading.
  2. A heading is added to the form.
  3. Click on it to view the Heading input slider.
  4. In the Label field, enter a label for the heading.
  5. Expand Input Options and toggle Hide Collapse if you want to prevent a header from being collapsible. This is useful when you want the content of a section to always remain visible—ensuring users don’t accidentally collapse and miss important information.

If you leave Hide Collapse unchecked, keep the following behavior in mind when collapsing headers:

    • Content under a header will collapse up to the next header, unless there's a page break. In that case, the collapse stops at the page break, even if another header exists on the following page.

    • If there are no other headers, the collapse continues to the Email section of the form.

    • If a header is part of a conditional display, it can only be collapsed when the condition is met and visible. When shown, only the content within that condition is collapsed.

    • Headers within shown conditions will not collapse if the header above them is collapsed. This ensures conditions are not hidden unintentionally.

    • Sections generate their own headers and can be collapsed independently, down to the section label.

  6. Expand Style to specify the style settings for the heading. See Applying Styles to an Input for more information.
  7. Save your entries.
  8. To remove a heading from a form, see Deleting a Form Heading.
