How to use the Table Styles tab
Use the Table Styles tab to define the appearance of table elements in your forms. Customize visual settings such as font style (bold, italic, underline), text alignment, and label color. You can also set text casing options—such as all caps or lowercase—and adjust top and bottom padding to control spacing around tables.
As you make changes, the Table Style Preview updates in real time, showing how the table will appear as you configure it, making it easier to visualize and refine your design.
These settings help ensure a consistent and clear presentation across all tables in your forms.
- From the Configuration menu, click Visual Settings to open the Themes, Styles, and Templates page.
- Click Tables to open the Table Styles tab.
- Click + New Style to create a new table style.
- In the Table Style Name field, enter a name for the table style.
- Toggle Allow form-level changes to this style if you want individual forms to be able to override the style settings. When a template is applied, this option allows you to enforce or adjust style rules per form.
- Specify the color palette for the table. Palette options are based on the selections made in the Theme Colors tab and can include the primary color, secondary color, or a custom color.
- Configure the default visual settings for the table heading text. From the Size list, select the label size for the table heading: Extra Large, Large, Medium, Small, or Extra Small. Specify whether the table text should be Bold, Italic, and/or Underline. Choose the text alignment: Left, Center, or Right. Finally, use the palette to select a label color. The colors used for the rows are auto calculated based on the color chosen. You can't edit individual design components of the table.
- Toggle Use color as background color to use the selected color as the background.
- Toggle Force all caps to display the table heading in uppercase.
- Toggle Collapsible to make the table expandable and collapsible.
- Specify the top and bottom padding to control the space between the table content and its edge.
- Configure the default visual settings for row/column headings. From the Size list, select the label size for the row/column text: Extra Large, Large, Medium, Small, or Extra Small. Specify whether the table text should be Bold, Italic, and/or Underline. Choose the text alignment: Left, Center, or Right. Finally, toggle Force all caps to display the table row/column label text in uppercase.
- Click Save to save the table style.
Note: These settings apply to the table framework, which refers to the structure and layout of inputs placed inside a table. - If you no longer use a table style, it can be deleted. If you delete a table style and it is part of a template it is removed from that template and from the forms that are assigned that template.
