How to use the IFS FSM connection type
The IFS FSM connection type allows your form application to securely communicate with your organization's IFS Field Service Management system. This enables forms to send and receive data related to service calls, parts, tasks, and more—streamlining field operations and keeping data synchronized.
- From the Configuration menu on the left, select Data Connections.

- Click + Connection to open the Connection window.

- Enter a connection name and description for the IFS FSM connection. This helps you identify the data connection if you connect to more than one database.
- Select IFS FSM as the connection type.
- Enter the username and password for your IFS service account. This is a dedicated account that you (or your administrator) have set up and configured within the IFS system specifically for this connection. Make sure the service account has the necessary permissions for the tasks your form or integration needs to perform.
- In the IFS FSM XML Poster URL, enter the URL for the connection. This is a URL endpoint to allow the system to send data in XML format to IFS FSM.
- Click Test Connection to ensure your settings are correct.
- Click Save when you've completed your changes.
