How to use the Can Shrink option on reports
The Can Shrink option allows a field or element to automatically reduce its height if the content doesn’t fill the entire space. This helps keep a report clean and compact.
This is especially useful when working with dynamic tables that might not always have data. If a table is empty, enabling Can Shrink helps prevent extra blank space—or the entire empty table—from being printed in your report.
- Open the Properties panel on the left side of the Report Designer.
- Expand Behavior, then mark the Can Shrink option.

- Save your changes.
