How to create an IAM client (service client)
An IAM (Identity and Access Management) Client in IFS Cloud allows your form application to securely connect and access IFS APIs. If you're not sure how to complete this setup, see IFS Documentation, or contact your IT team, IFS support, or email us at support@omnibyte.com for assistance.
To create an IAM Client in IFS Cloud (requires administrator access):
-
In IFS Cloud, open the Solution Manager. Select Users and Permissions, then Identity and Access Manager, then IAM Client.
-
Click + to add a new IAM Client.
-
In the Client ID field, enter a unique identifier for the client, such as formspro_client.
-
In the Description field, enter a meaningful name for the integration.
-
Toggle on Service Accounts and Direct Access Grants.
-
In the User Group section, if a user is not already set up, toggle the Select from Existing Service Account Users off. Enter the username (same as IAM client ID), then toggle Active on.
If a user is already set up, leave the Select from Existing Service Account Users toggle on.
-
Click OK to save your entries.
Note: After creating an IAM Client and assigning user permissions, you'll need to update the user's company and site access to ensure they can retrieve the appropriate data from IFS Cloud.
