How to create a tooltip

Tips and hints can be added to individual inputs to assist users as they complete forms. These appear in the app as tooltips and help guide users with brief, helpful information.

For example, if supporting evidence is required for an incident or accident, you could add a tooltip explaining what the attachment should include. Or, include a reminder like: “Make sure your photo is in focus.” Tooltips should be short and to the point, providing quick guidance or reminders.

Using this example, complete the following steps to add a tooltip:

  1. View the input slider (in this example, a Media input was added to a form).
  2. Expand Input Options.
  3. In the Tooltip field, enter the tip or hint you want to display for the input. You can include up to 80 characters.
  4. In the app, (Tooltip icon) is displayed next to the input's label. Click on the icon to display the tooltip.
