How to Remove the Contactless Signature button in TechPro
The Contactless Signature button cannot be removed. It is visible at all times because a tech doesn’t know when they’ll need it. For example, when a tech leaves a site and has forgotten to get a signature, instead of having to drive back to the site and track down the person they need a signature from, they can click this button and send the request by text or email from wherever they are. It’s also handy when the tech is at a site where the facility manager is not, or isn’t available when the tech is ready to get a signature.
The tech can check out after requesting a signature but prior to receiving it, so it doesn’t hold up the checkout process. The signature receiving is then handled in the admin site, and a report can be resent with a signature if the customer needs a signed copy – all outside of the technician’s processes.
