How to connect a data set and form data

After selecting a data set and data set field, use the Connect Data Set and Form Data section on a form to set the connection between the form and the data set and filter the data set to be more specific to the form.

Click +, then from the Form Field that Filters the Data list, select the field on the form that is the "driver" of the information in the data set. Then from the Key/Primary Data Set Field list, select data set field that is the primary field that "cuts" the amount of data by the form field to set the connection between the form and the data set.

For example, you have a data set of equipment records. You would enter a customer location as the form field that filters the data and the equipment ID as the primary data set field. This would limit the data set to the equipment at this customer location. You can add multiple filters to restrict the data set to be more specific to the form by clicking the + button.
