Changes to Reference Names

How reference names have changed

The Match Reference Name to Label field has been removed in release 2305.4 from all input’s edit windows. Now when you add a new input to a form the reference name will match the label you enter (and remove any spaces or characters that aren’t allowed). Later, if you change the label name, the reference name will not change. It is up to you to update the reference name. However, we recommend you don’t change the reference name unless it’s going to be difficult to identify the field it references. That way you are always aware of changes to a reference name and know that it is intentional.
